We’re happy to have her on the team with us this summer.

Hannah, what are you most excited to learn while working for NGL?

I'm looking forward to learning more about the ever-evolving field of healthcare innovation, especially as it impacts digital health and medical devices. Having previously worked at a large academic medical center, I saw the use of telehealth rapidly increase in real time during the Covid-19 pandemic. Since then, so much of the healthcare landscape has changed. I am excited to learn about the latest advances being made in healthcare and tackle their respective legal concerns through joining Nixon Gwilt.

What do you see as the most exciting innovation in healthcare right now?

Artificial Intelligence and its potential to shift medical outcomes through increasing the accuracy of diagnoses and improving efficiency in the delivery of healthcare. AI's ability to change the healthcare system makes it both an exciting innovation and a compelling regulatory discussion. As industries learn more about AI it will be interesting to see how healthcare's use of the technology evolves.

What social causes are you most passionate about?

Expanding access to healthcare including access to nutrition and mental health services. These two aspects of healthcare are often overlooked and yet essential to ensuring individuals can lead a healthy life. In order to achieve healthcare equity everyone, regardless of economic or insurance status, should be able to have access to nutritious food and mental health professionals.

Anything else you want people to know about you?

Hannah is a rising 3L at Boston University School of Law concentrating in Health Law and serving as the Administrative Editor of the American Journal of Law and Medicine. Prior to law school, Hannah worked at the largest safety-net hospital in New England where she discovered her passion for the healthcare field. Recently, she interned with the legal and compliance departments of two different biotech companies where she honed her interest in regulatory health law. Hannah is excited to join Nixon Gwilt, a firm that shares her passion for healthcare innovation.

In her spare time Hannah likes to try new restaurants, listen to live music, and go to the beach.

Welcome to the team, Hannah!
